The view from my settee |
Other than a mere 7 miles on Monday through the park & woods to mum's, and 27 miles on tuesday to a work meeting and home, the bike has not seen any action this week. The weather has been wintry and although I usually love a nice snowy ride, I'm taking the sensible option of not taking to the streets and bridleways.
My bump has dropped, so I'm into the last stages of pregnancy. Soon my body will be my own again.
To anyone venturing out, enjoy this lovely weather, I'm incredibly envious of you all ;-)
Enjoy this calm before the (beautiful) storm!
ReplyDeleteOh, and my chick finally hatched on Thursday gone! x
Yay, congratulations :-D She looks really lovely. Good luck, hope she's not too much of a handful x
DeleteYou and your hubby have timed this really well! :)
ReplyDeleteBest wishes, very excited for you and your family.
Certainly better to have the internal heating system at winter!! This is the only year I've not suffered with my Raynauld's too :-)
DeleteYou probably did the right thing taking the sensible option Georgie...I wish you well with the upcoming excitement....a wonderful time for you.
ReplyDeleteI'd go walking, but every time I'm on my feet for any length of time my hip hurts.
DeleteWhich is another win for bicycles - cycling through pregnancy has been much easier for getting around...
I read about a 74 year old in the Phillipenes who bought a bike as she couldn't walk very well any more - I imagine most people in the west consider it mobility scooter time when they struggle walking, I was so pleased to read about this lady embracing the bike to continue to be independent.
I wish you well
ReplyDelete<3 congrats to you and your new growing fam, all the best for you all and the great moments to come =)
ReplyDeleteThanks. And over the next year I'll be joining the world of cycling families too. Plenty of adventures to unfold x
